Grote Street
Grote Street is an important gateway from the airport and western suburbs into the City. It is a one kilometre long boulevard starting at West Terrace through to Victoria Square, but it has two very distinct sectors on the eastern and western sides of Morphett Street. Many businesses located in the western section are homewares based including tile and kitchen showrooms.
Businesses in the eastern segment of Grote Street utilize the pedestrian traffic generated by the Central Market, Hilton Hotel, Chinatown, Market Plaza, Bus Station and nearby office blocks. Many new residential apartment developments are in construction nearby in Franklin Street and Sturt Street that will boost the city residential population.
Car parking is available within the Bus Station UPark, Central Market UPark and close by at the Wilson Franklin Street car park. In addition to Her Majesty’s Theatre is complemented by live music entertainment venues the Promethean and La Boheme. Businesses are exposed to four lanes of significant through-traffic from vehicles and buses using this wide boulevard.
